Let’s do a Bewitching Halloween Boudoir Session.
Tis the season, my friends. No, not THAT season. I’m talking Halloween. A time where everyone can be who they want to be and add their own spin on it. And this season is a great reason to get a bewitching boudoir session in.
Angel, devil, superhero, witch, cartoon character, literary character, et cetera. You name it, we can photograph it. Bring your Halloween costumes, or any sexy outfits you want, and come have a spooktacular time. We can photograph it here in studio or out on location.
The best part? You can do the session before going to a Halloween party. Get all done up, get your images done, and then head on out to the evening’s festivities. Two birds, one stone. Or you could opt for a stand alone session before things get hectic.
You could do a solo session, team up with your bffs, or do a session with your significant other. It’s all up to you.
Mark Knopp is a Virginia Beach-based boudoir photographer covering the Hampton Roads community and beyond. Contact him at mark(at)sensualphotosbymarkk.com with any questions you might have or to book your session today.
Boudoir, in my mind, is a place where a woman can drop her mental and physical armor and just enjoy being a woman.
The best thing about doing what I do means I get to work with such a diverse group of people. I have yet had a “typical” boudoir session. Each of us is unique. We are perfectly, wonderfully, ourselves.
I’m not talking just about age, ethnicity, or size. I’m also taking about personalities. Which means, when combined with my desire to capture them simply being themselves, that no two sessions will ever be the same.

She wanted something special to give to her husband for their wedding anniversary.
Miss H found herself in a quandary. Her wedding anniversary was coming up and she was struggling for idea on what to get her other half. Nothing was standing out as a clear winner. She wanted something personal, that would mean something, and that her husband would cherish.
Then she hit upon the idea of a boudoir session.
She was intrigued with the idea as it would check off a lot of boxes. It would be personal, from her heart, it would be cherished, and it would be a chance to show off her hard work at the gym.

Exploring new things and looks.
It’s been a while since I’ve updated. Life, as always, steps in whenever it wants without so much as a “If you please”. Also, as most of you know, a lot of my work in this area is “eyes only” to a special someone or for the client themselves. So, I offer my apologies for the lack of new images and offer up the following set for your viewing pleasure.
As you might have noticed, the look of this page has changed. I’m exploring new layouts. Looks that are more befitting the work presented. I want the entire site to be more unified, more cohesive to the idea of sensuality. There will be more changes as I wade through the sea of page layouts to find the one I like the most.

She proves that fit women are sensual women.
I make it well known that there is no “ideal” age or fitness level when it comes to doing a boudoir session. Everyone has the ability to create amazing images. All it takes is a little faith in the right photographer. I’ve made it my goal to show exactly that.
Geraci (https://www.instagram.com/juniper_geraci/) recently reached out to me about working together. She is a woman of a certain age. Don’t bother guessing, I promise you, you won’t get it. She’s also a fitness enthusiast who works hard to look like she does.

It’s good to be home.
I love being a photographer. It is, in all honesty, my life. If I’m to be even more honest, there are certain topics that I love shooting more than others. I love working with people more than, say take traditional landscapes. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good landscape. Working with people, however, reaches a deeper level of satisfaction.
For me, artistically, black and white form work is my personal acme. It is where I open up and do my best work.
Even the act of photographing it elevates my spirit to a higher plane. All the distractions and white noise of daily life fade away. My mind, which is usually a jumbled mess of a thousand things fighting for my attention at once, goes quiet. I am completely and totally in the present with my focus tuned into a patch of skin a few inches across but really represents it’s own landscape.

She wanted something special for her boyfriend but be true to herself. Oh, and there was this cupcake.
Everyone struggles with coming up with a special gift for that special someone in their life. Anna, whom I’ve done a session with years ago, had an idea for hers and reached out to me to bounce ideas off of.
We talked about the usual things like outfits, what he liked about her physically so I knew what to show off, what she was comfortable doing, et cetera.
But then we talked about concepts to make it more about her, to bring her essence out in the images. My goal with any of these sessions is to bring out their personality in the images. To me, boudoir isn’t all about being a sex kitten. Far from it.
