She wanted a pick-me-up after a breakup but I ended up being humbled by the experience.
I’ve known Miss M for a while on social media. We started chatting online one day after she made a post about women and cars that I agreed with and we started a conversation. That discussion opened the door to another photo session that should be coming along shortly. Stay tuned for that.
During one chat she said she loved my boudoir work and was thinking of doing a session. She came out of a relationship recently and wanted to do something that would raise her spirits. Doing this would help her out.
Leaving something to the imagination, in my opinion, is key.
One of the things I try to avoid during these sessions is to show everything in these images. I mean this in two ways.
The first, more obvious way is that I don’t believe in showing everything a woman has to offer. Once that is seen, then the interest in the subject dwindles perilously. That’s the main problem I have with Playboy and it’s ilk. After the third image, you’ve seen it all and the following images aren’t as interesting so you kinda flip through them with significantly less enthusiasm.
Yes, I shoot nudes, if that is what the client wants. Yes, they can be full monty in front of me – again, if they want. But even then, given the choice, I will choose to compose the image accordingly. I like leaving an air of mystery, a yearning to see more, and the tantalizing aspect of thinking you’re seeing something or about to see something but you’re not.
I’m heading back tomorrow and primed to do more sensual sessions.
Today is my last full day in central NY. Three weeks flew by so fast.
I’m re-energized and inspired to try new ideas. I’ll be back tomorrow and ready to rock out more sensual, boudoir, nudoir, bridal, maternity, baby bonding, nude, form, erotic, bondage, couples, and bdsm, at my place, your place, a suite at a high end hotel, or out on location like downtown, a farm, and more.
I am proud and thrilled to announce the return of the popular sunRISE beach sessions for those looking for something a bit more edgy. No one is around at that time so we can get quite a bit more daring. It’s not for everyone but it is something special for those willing to take a chance.
The person that walks out of one my sessions is never the same one that walked in.
Recently Breanna was talking to a friend about doing a boudoir session for her husband who was on his way back from deployment. This friend had her own session with me a little while ago and suggested she should get ahold of me. After we exchanged a few messages and a Skype session, she decided to go for it.
Breanna had never done a session like this before and was understandably a little nervous. She was, like 95% of the women here, not a model. She had no experience in front of a professional photographer’s camera. She had no idea how to pose, what to do with her hands, where to look, what outfit showed her off, what expression was expected, et cetera.
When a local legend comes out of retirement and wants you to be the first she works with.
Yeah, that was a very unexpected surprise. I had known of Paige for several years as we worked in the same circles but we had never met, much less worked together. She was always on my wish list of people I wanted to work with but things never aligned properly. Then she decided it was time to hang up her posing outfits.
Damn, I thought. A missed opportunity.
Segue to three years later. Thanks to the miracle of social media we find each other. We start chatting and, of course, the conversation eventually comes around to modeling. I put it out there that I would love to work with her sometime, that she was on my “wish list”. She surprises me with an immediate “yes.” She said it was time for her to get back into modeling.
Sorry, I won’t have a whole new set to post today as I’m currently surrounded by bins and boxes waiting for the movers. After everything is done and the dust settles I’ll start posting new work again. Until then here’s a sneak peek from my recent session with the amazing Fiona.
