New Dark Side images and a question.

Exploring new things and looks.

It’s been a while since I’ve updated. Life, as always, steps in whenever it wants without so much as a “If you please”. Also, as most of you know, a lot of my work in this area is “eyes only” to a special someone or for the client themselves. So, I offer my apologies for the lack of new images and offer up the following set for your viewing pleasure.

As you might have noticed, the look of this page has changed. I’m exploring new layouts. Looks that are more befitting the work presented. I want the entire site to be more unified, more cohesive to the idea of sensuality. There will be more changes as I wade through the sea of page layouts to find the one I like the most.

Susie submits to her sensual side again.

She embraces my concept of what boudoir is all about.

Susie is what I would consider perfect. She is strong, independent, confident, fearless, and gives zero thought to what you think of her. She embraces exactly who she is, mentally and physically, and relishes it. She is a dynamo of sensuality.

When we team up, everything is on the table. She owns the place without hesitation and dares me to keep up. I have a hard time doing so but I try my best. At the end of our sessions I am exhausted, mentally and physically, but I know I have pushed my boundaries past anything I’ve done before.

I am a better photographer and person because of her and people like her.

Anna’s birthday boudoir session.

She wanted something special for her boyfriend but be true to herself. Oh, and there was this cupcake.

Everyone struggles with coming up with a special gift for that special someone in their life. Anna, whom I’ve done a session with years ago, had an idea for hers and reached out to me to bounce ideas off of.

We talked about the usual things like outfits, what he liked about her physically so I knew what to show off, what she was comfortable doing, et cetera.

But then we talked about concepts to make it more about her, to bring her essence out in the images. My goal with any of these sessions is to bring out their personality in the images. To me, boudoir isn’t all about being a sex kitten. Far from it.

My first session with Athena won’t be my last.

The best boudoir sessions happen when the client is just being themselves.

First – a little business. I’ve set aside next Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday for last minute Valentine’s sessions. After that there will won’t be enough time to get the finished product back before the big day. Most spots are filled but there are a couple openings left for those looking to get one in

Now onto the fun stuff.

I had the great honor of working with Athena recently. She has a powerful presence that I just adore. She can flip from sweet and cute to “whoa, momma” and everything in between in a heartbeat. We talked about a session where, as it was the first time we’ve worked together, we could explore more of the softer side as a way to introduce ourselves to each other. If it went well, then we could explore further later on.

Miss W’s first boudoir session.

This one of those entries where I step back and let the person in front of the camera talk. Full disclosure – I’ve known Miss W for several years now as a fellow photographer and friend but this is the first time I’ve worked with her in this manner.

What a great way to start the new year!

Miss Marci’s first boudoir session.

She did it as a gift to herself and, as a result, surprised herself.

Marci messaged me one day about doing a boudoir session. She had never done one before but wanted to give it a try as a self-image boost. A gift to herself, in this gift giving season. She was nervous, which is to be expected, but excited about the experience. We chatted about ideas, outfit options, expectations, et cetera, and then set the date.

On the day of the session she first went to Carly C. Vega (https://www.facebook.com/MakeUpByVega/?pnref=lhc) for her make-up and hair. Carly, who rocks in my book, did her magic and sent Marci on her way to me. As soon as she showed up I knew we were going to have a great session. She came prepared with several outfits and accessories which showed her off.

There’s still time to give the gift of boudoir.
