Naoma’s sensual session at Virginia Beach’s oceanfront.

She did it for herself, as should you.

Normally I would post some words about a recent session here in an effort to inspire others. This time, however, I’m going to let Naoma do the talking. Please follow the link below to read, in her own words, about why she decided to do a sensual session, and what she thinks of the whole experience. Then please come back to read my take and look at the images.

Miss F’s recent sensual session.

Privacy is a top priority when it comes to sensual sessions.

Tis the busy season for boudoir photographers across the globe. Between now and Valentines Day people are looking for unique, personal gifts for their significant others, for a friend, or as a gift for themselves. Boudoir sessions check off all the boxes on that list and more.

That being said, it’s also the time for privacy concerns. A lot people don’t want their images on display for the world to see. The photos generated by a session are generally for a certain person’s eyes only. This is totally understandable. I honestly would say a good 50-60% of the sessions I do are never meant to be uploaded here.

That’s why there’s gaps between entries here, by the way.

This is a topic of discussion I have with every client before the session. I want to be clear with them that they are in control of everything. They control what we shoot, where we shoot, how long we shoot, and – most importantly – what happens to the images after the session is done.

Exploring the Dark Side further with fine art form.

Oh how this is getting so very exciting.

When I started my photographic journey in earnest decades ago I found myself firmly in the realm of black and white fine art nude and form. My first solo show was heavily weighed towards this genre not to mention my BFA graduation portfolio. An example of that work was awarded the President’s Award and now is part of the permanent collection of SUNY Oswego.

Jules’s first sensual session.

Sometimes it’s best to let the other person speak and it’s not too late to book your holiday or Valentine’s Day session.

Every woman should have the opportunity to be photographed by this man at least once in her lifetime. In fact, every person should.

Anyone who knows me, knows I’m not the girlie type. So when Mark first approached me and said he had to have my eyes in his portfolio my response was “When I get back into lifting we can totally do a fitness shoot.” Because that’s where I’m comfortable. I’m comfortable doing my gym thing and having someone take pictures. He said let me shoot art with you, and we can do that when your healthy again.
