She wanted something special to give to her husband for their wedding anniversary.
Miss H found herself in a quandary. Her wedding anniversary was coming up and she was struggling for idea on what to get her other half. Nothing was standing out as a clear winner. She wanted something personal, that would mean something, and that her husband would cherish.
Then she hit upon the idea of a boudoir session.
She was intrigued with the idea as it would check off a lot of boxes. It would be personal, from her heart, it would be cherished, and it would be a chance to show off her hard work at the gym.

There’s always a first time for everyone. Even a seasoned pro.
This is one of those entries where I’m going to let the person in the photos do most of the talking. I just want to take a moment to thank everyone that has supported me on this journey. I truly love creating remarkable memories with amazing people. I am a better person because of each of you.
Now I’m turning this over to Tershia.

I won’t have a blog update tomorrow.
I have to drop my sister off at the airport at 430 am – yes, that’s right – 430 am. I then have an appointment in Newport News at 8 that will take a good 3 hours. Following that I come home and start prepping for the first boudoir session of 3 set for the weekend. Needless to say I won’t have time to post.
Stay tuned for updates when I can post them including a new bdsm based session. I promise, you wont be disappointed.

Doing a couples boudoir session has always been on my photographer’s Bucket List. The desire to capture the essence of a relationship in a sensual manner has always intrigued me both artistically and technically. Recently I had a chance to cross off that item on the list.
The main reason for the delay was that I wanted an honest relationship between two people. I didn’t want to fake it with actors/models as I feel viewers would see through the ruse. There would be doubt in their eyes and discomfort would be reflected in the way they posed. I want to capture true, unfettered, desire in its purist form. I wanted honest actions and reactions with no posing as they moved about.
Enter Sam and Chris.

Exploring the Dark Side further with fine art form.
Oh how this is getting so very exciting.
When I started my photographic journey in earnest decades ago I found myself firmly in the realm of black and white fine art nude and form. My first solo show was heavily weighed towards this genre not to mention my BFA graduation portfolio. An example of that work was awarded the President’s Award and now is part of the permanent collection of SUNY Oswego.

Women like her are exactly why I do this.
People always ask me what I get out of doing sensual sessions like the one here I recently did with Mrs. K. The answer is simple – simple, deep fulfillment.
These (mostly) women come to me full of hope and doubt. They know they want to be shown in a certain way. Which way is something we discuss beforehand. They also come with concerns and uncertainty. This is also something we discuss beforehand. We build a personal game plan together that shows them off in the best possible way.
Then they put their trust and faith into me to present them with images that show that themselves off. I can’t stress enough just how important this responsibility is. I literally have the ability to build up someone’s self image or confirm their worst fears. It is something that I never treat lightly.

Leaving something to the imagination, in my opinion, is key.
One of the things I try to avoid during these sessions is to show everything in these images. I mean this in two ways.
The first, more obvious way is that I don’t believe in showing everything a woman has to offer. Once that is seen, then the interest in the subject dwindles perilously. That’s the main problem I have with Playboy and it’s ilk. After the third image, you’ve seen it all and the following images aren’t as interesting so you kinda flip through them with significantly less enthusiasm.
Yes, I shoot nudes, if that is what the client wants. Yes, they can be full monty in front of me – again, if they want. But even then, given the choice, I will choose to compose the image accordingly. I like leaving an air of mystery, a yearning to see more, and the tantalizing aspect of thinking you’re seeing something or about to see something but you’re not.
