Naoma’s sensual session at Virginia Beach’s oceanfront.

She did it for herself, as should you.

Normally I would post some words about a recent session here in an effort to inspire others. This time, however, I’m going to let Naoma do the talking. Please follow the link below to read, in her own words, about why she decided to do a sensual session, and what she thinks of the whole experience. Then please come back to read my take and look at the images.

Me again.

Naoma embraces my firmest belief. Do it for yourself, first. Yes, images from a session like this would make a great gift for a significant other, et cetera. But do it for yourself first. Celebrate your life, your accomplishments, what you’ve been through.

Yes, there will always be that inner voice telling you otherwise. We all hear it. “I need to lose some weight first” or “Oh, I should have done it when I was younger cos I looked better then”, “My friend did it but I’m as pretty as her”, et cetera.

You know what? You’re awesome right now. You’re perfectly, wonderfully, gloriously you. Own it. Don’t compare your current status against what was once was or what will never be.

“…as I get older I am learning to embrace my differences and my body and learn to be proud of who I am and all that I have accomplished. I just want to share with other women that it is ok to be proud of ourselves…even our bodies.  We don’t need to be ashamed or compare ourselves to what we think might be perfection.” – Naoma

Just do it for yourself. There is no better reason.
