Miss Q is my Women Crush Wednesday submission for the day.

A hint of things to come.

First, let’s take a minute to appreciate the beauty that is Miss Q. I’ve been looking forward to working with her for almost six years and the results are stunning. More images from our recent session are coming soon so stay tuned for them.

Things have been hectic here for the past few weeks. Something is in the works that will, if goes through, radically change my life in a positive way. I’m not going to say what right now as I don’t want to jinx it. Stay tuned as I’ll know for sure by the new year.

Have no fear, though. I’m still booking sessions and have no plans to stop doing them. I feel my work has been evolving these past few months into something amazing and am excited to see where it goes.

The people I work with continue to blow me away with their courage. It take a lot for someone to open up for a session, put themselves out there, and potentially be hurt. No, not physically. Mentally.

Think about it. These people are putting their self-image in my hands and it could go one of two ways. I can either open up their eyes to their true beauty or I could confirm their worst fears about their appearance.

I don’t take that responsibility lightly.

So I strive to learn as much as I can in terms of lighting and posing to accent them in the best way possible. 30-plus years in the photo business and I’m still learning. I spend hours watching how-to videos and reading books on how to do better editing to create a better product. I just recently upgraded all my equipment to get the best quality images possible. I’ve also invested in props and even a few outfits.

All in an effort to make sure my client has the best experience I can offer and receive the best images I can provide. Quite frankly, the day I stop pushing forward, the day I get complacent with my work, will be the day I hang up the camera. I promise you that.

So, stay tuned. The best is yet to come.
