One thing every woman should bring to a boudoir session.

A corset is one of the most fabulous, versatile things that enhances every body type.

What is old is new again. I absolutely love it when a client pulls out one or more beautiful corsets for their sessions. Let’s talk about why you should have at least one yourself.

Obviously, they are designed to make the wearer look great. They enhance the hourglass shape by making your waist look slimmer and tummy appear flatter. The overbust ones enhance the bustline. They are popularly used to get a body back to it’s pre-pregnancy shape. At the very least wear the corset to just feel sexy and glamorous.

They also change the mindset of the wearer. It’s like a switch being flipped when they don one. It’s amazing what personality comes out – flirty, sassy, daring, alluring, straight on dangerous, et cetera.

They are also great for posture and easing back pain. This was one of the original uses of corsets. A properly tied corset reduces the pressure on your lower back, supports the spine, and alleviates back pain.

Corsets are versatile. There are several types and styles. They can be paired with just about everything or stand alone. They can be light and playful all the way to sinfully exotic.

One thing I’ll add to that list is that a good corset should never sized as “S”, “M”, or “L”.
