Kiela is a natural beauty inside and out
How about something light and airy on a dreary day?
“I honestly was terrified of doing this shoot. I don’t by any means consider myself a ‘model’, and like most women, have a multitude of insecurities. Despite my apprehension, I decided to take the plunge and do my first boudoir shoot. I had seen Mark’s other work and was taken back by some of the breathtaking photos. He’s very talented and I’ve had the pleasure of taking his classes before. He was very professional during the entire shoot and never pushed me beyond my comfort zone. He let me dictate how revealing I wanted to be and would reassure me throughout the shoot, especially when he saw the potential for a stunning shot. I left that day feeling empowered and beautiful. Just as I had hoped, the photos came out beautifully and I actually had a lot of fun! I will definitely be back for more 🙂 Thank you Mark!”
Time’s running out for a sensual session…or is it?
I looked at the calendar this morning and realized that Spring arrives in two weeks. For most photographers this is means transitioning from winter style sessions, like boudoir, to warm weather sessions like beach and other outdoor venues. I will be one of those photographers as my main raison d’etra is shooting somewhere out on location.
But, and this is a very big but, this does not mean I’ll be taking down my sensual shingle until the return of colder weather. On the contrary I will continue to offer these sensual sessions all year long. In my mind there is no reason why one should start and another end. Let me explain why.
Embracing your beauty
“When I first talked to Mark about doing a session I only had fitness in mind but when he sent me the link to his sensual page I slowly started to open my eyes. As I was looking at the pictures I began to question myself as to why I didn’t feel like I was confident enough to do it. I am a competitive bikini athlete so I have been on stage numerous times in little to nothing and I also only wear my sports bra when I work out.
I was puzzled with myself. Then I came to the realization that the problem was that I was stuck in my comfort zone, doing what made me feel sexy, but ignoring the fact that I was a beautiful feminine woman who gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. Something clicked and I told Mark I would like to try some boudoir in my session.
I ended up loving it so much that my whole session was boudoir. Mark made me feel 100 percent comfortable, he really has an eye for what he does, and his work comes out beautifully. Aside from taking amazing photos he really gave me a clear understanding and what boudoir photography is and what it stands for. It simply comes down to embracing your inner and outer beauty. Embrace your beauty and love yourself.” – Briana
